Illinois State University and Pinnacle Actuarial Resources present: Pinnacle U

Starting with the 2014/2015 academic year, Illinois State University and Pinnacle Actuarial Resources hold an annual Pinnacle U (a.k.a., Pinnacle University) program open to all students at at Illinois State University, and possibly other universities (as arranged by Pinnacle Actuarial Resources). This program lets students work on small projects under supervision of Pinnacle actuaries and then make a presentation in an all day event held at Pinnacle headquarters. Illinois State University students who want to participate, should send a resume with a message indicating their interest in Pinnacle U, to actuary@IllinoisState.edu as early in the Fall semester as possible, and definitely by the end of September. Students are chosen for the projects by a committee with members from Pinnacle Actuarial Resources and Illinois State University. Students work on their projects in the Spring semester. Students can earn 1 credit hour of Independent Study (MAT 390 for undergraduate students, MAT 400 for graduate students, and this MAT 400 can count for required 400-level credit hours for Master degree requirements) for the work on the project in the Pinnacle U program.

Questions about Pinnacle U are welcome and can be sent to: actuary@IllinoisState.edu.
