On Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 7 p.m. in room 101 in Stevenson Hall, Charlie Jenkins, Actuarial Club Secretary and Treasurer, discussed credibility, a topic on the SOA and CAS preliminary exams. Open to all students.

Marketing Yourself Presentation by Levi Triplo, Actuarial Club Vice President for Industry Relations

On Monday, March 2, 2020 at 7 p.m. in Stevenson Hall 401, Actuarial Club Vice President for Industry Relations, Levi Triplo, went over the  best ways to improve your marketability, including a discussion of what coding languages, extra-curriculars, and resumes items stand out the most. Open to all students.

Presentation on Workers Compensation by Pinnacle Actuarial Resources

On Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 4:30 p.m., in room 401 in Stevenson Hall, Mr. Erich Brandt, FCAS, and Ms. Kristen Marshall, from Pinnacle Actuarial Resources made  a presentation about workers compensation pricing and reserving. Open to all students.

Internship Best Practices by Actuarial Club officers Sam Heil and Dan Roesler

On Wednesday, February 26, at 7 p.m. in Stevenson Hall room 101, Actuarial Club Officers Sam Heil and Dan Roesler discussed how to maximize your internship and learn as much as possible. They also discussed the best ways to stand out as an intern and transitioning your internship into a full-time offer. Open to all students.

Presentation by Actuarial Club officers, Scott Damery and Justin Garber, on Insurance, Reinsurance and Consulting

On Thursday, February 20, 2020, at 7 p.m., in Stevenson Hall room 401A, Scott Damery and Justin Garber gave an overview of the three main types of companies actuaries work for. Both Justin and Scott have worked in roles at traditional insurers, reinsurers, and consulting firms in their past internships. Open to all students.
