Paper Submissions |

When you submit a paper version of any assignment, please follow these guidelines:

- Type or word process as much of the document
as is possible. Save an electronic or paper version for your
records and as a security measure should your submission be lost
or misplaced.

- Use appropriate format for citing
references within any document.

- Well in advance of the assignment submission
deadline, you should explore the capabilities of your word
processor to format mathematical symbols. Many word processors
include components that allow you to easily format fractions,
roots, exponents, subscripts, function notation, matrices, and
other mathematical symbolism.

- Situate figures, tables, graphs, or other
images on a page as you refer to them, if possible. If this cannot
be done, include your images on separate sheets of paper after the
main body of your submission. Refer to your images with labels
such as Figure 1, Table 1, and so on. Look ar recent issues of the
**Mathematics Teacher**for examples.

- Be sure your name, the name of the course, the
name and type of assignment, and the date of submission appear in
a prominent way. This can be done by including a cover sheet with
your assignment, or by including an appropriate header at the top
of the first page of your submission.

- Unless otherwise directed, print on one side
only of each piece of paper.

- Do not include extra binders or covers with
assignments numbering only a few pages. You may use such devices
with assignments that have several sections or otherwise are
enhanced with a binder or cover.
